Fruiting Times
Massive clustering tall climbing rattan palm, scandent tufted stems to 50m+. Glabrous leaf sheaths with spines to 50mm long, flagellum to 7m armed with black spines. Leaves to 3m unarmed above & clawed beneath, aboput 25 leaflets per side, leaflets to 700mm x 90mm. Female spadix to 7m, female flowers to 4mm long. Male spadix similar but less robust. Fruit to 14mm x 10mm with dark brown scales & a short beak.
