Climbing palm to 30m. Stem sheaths with spines to 4mm. Flagellum to 1.5m, Leaf to 700mm long with 10-22 bristly leaflets per side, longest to 180mm x 15mm. Inflorescences to 1m, female rachillae to 35mm. Fruit to 13mm x 6mm with beak 1mm x 1mm.
