Climbing palm to 100m. Armed leaves with segments 700mm x 30mm. Male spadix to 5m & spathes to 800mm, male flower 6mm x 2mm, red-brown 3-lobed calyx, corolla twice as big with 3 lobes. Female spadix similar to male, female flower 6mm x 3mm, 3-lobed calyx, 3-lobed corolla. Purple-brown fruit 16mm x 13mm.
