Clustering rattan to 30m. Stem sheaths to 21mm diameter, spiny leaves to 1.5m. Leaf sheath with spines to 40mm x 2mm. Flagellum to 2m long. 23-40 pairs of leaflets, mid-leaflets to 310mm x 30mm, apical leaflets to 100mm x 12mm, atmed with spinules to 1mm long. Staminate inflorescence to 2.5m long with bracts 1mm x 1.5mm & bracteoles 1.3mm x 1.3mm, rachis bracts to 360mm long with spines to 1.5mm. Pistillate inflorescence to 4m long, rachillae to 100mm x 2.5mm with bracts 2mm x 2mm & bracteoles 2mm x 1mm. Staminate rachillae to 24mm x 2mm with bracts to 1mm x 1.5mm. Fruit to 10mm x 10mm.
