Thicket-forming rattan climbing palm, stems to 15m. Leaf sheaths with bristles, leaves to 2.5m long terminating in cirrus to 2m long armed with claws, 60 leaflets each side, bristly leaflets to 500mm x 20mm. Spadix to 1m long. Fruit to 15mm x 10mm with scales.
