Climber to 20m. Leaf to 2m long. Sheath with brown woolly indumentum armed with brown spines to 50mm x 1mm. Flagellum to 5m. 32-35 leaflets per side, longest to 400mm x 22mm, bristles to 7mm long. Staminate inflorescence to 4.5m with 2m flagelliform tip, rachis bracts to 350mm x 15mm, 4-8 primary branches to 350mm long with bracts to 21mm x 6mm, rachillae to 60mm x 8mm with bracts to 6.5mm x 3mm. Pistillate inflorescence similar with rachis bracts to 500mm x 12mm, primary branches to 350mm long with up to 22 rachillae to 160mm x 8mm with bracts to 7mm x 5.5mm. Pistillate flowers to 5mm x 2.5mm with calyx to 2.5mm diameter, 3 lobes to 2mm x 2mm, corolla to 4mm x 2mm, 3 lobes to 2mm x 1.5mm. Beaked fruit to 17.5mm x 13mm, beak 3mm x 2.5mm.
