Clustering climbing rattan palm with semi-scandent stems to 6m. Leaf sheaths with spines to 150mm long, leaves to 2.2m armed with spines, about 40 leaflets per side, leaflets to 300mm x 25mm. Spadix to 400mm long, rachillae to 30mm long. Beaked fruit with brown scales & short beak.
