Climber to 6.5m. Leaf to 2.5m long armed with hair-like spines to 30mm long, flagellum to 1m long. 15-22 leaflets per side, longest to 460mm x 22mm. Pistillate inflorescences to 650mm long with rachillae 35mm x 3.5mm, rachillae bracts to 5mm x 3.5mm, pistillate flowers to 4mm x 2.5m. Fruit to 13mm x 9.5mm including beak to 2.5mm x 1.5mm.
