Fruiting Times
Solitary or clustering climbing rattan palm, scandent stem to 6m. Straw-coloured leaf sheaths to 230mm long densely armed with spines to 60mm long. Leaves to 2.5m with 440mm long cirrus, armed along margins with spines, glabrous leaflet, 63 per side. Female spadix to 1m armed with claws, female flowers 4mm long. Mucronate fruit to 12mm x 10mm with straw-coloured scales with red-brown margins.
