Climbing clustering palm to 25m. Leaf sheaths to 18mm diameter. Leaves to 540mm long with spines, 3-6 pairs of leaflets, basal leaflet to 320mm x 45mm, longest to 360mm x 45mm. Staminate inflorescence to 2m long with bracts to 1.5mm x 2mm & bracteoles to 0.5mm x 0.5mm. Staminate flowers to 4mm x 1.5mm with calyx 1.5mm diameter & 3 lobes to 1mm x 1mm, corolla to 3.5mm x 1.3mm. Pistillate inflorescence similar with bracts 1mm x 2.5mm & bracteoles to 1.5mm x 2.2mm. Pistillate flowers 4mm x 2.5mm with calyx 2.5mm diameter & 3 lobes 1.3mm x 1.6mm. Corolla 3.5mm x 2mm with 3 lobes 2mm x 1.6mm. Beaked fruit to 18mm x 14mm, beak 2mm x 1mm.
