Climber. Leaves with cirrus 5m long, cirrus 2.5m armed with 7-8 pointed claws. Leaf sheath armed with 30mm spines, leaflets to 300mm x 17mm. Inflorescences with bracts armed with recurved spines and small claws. Fruit 15mm x 9mm.
