Looping climbing spiny palm to 25m. Spiny stem sheath. Leaves to 3m long, hooked beneath, leaflets to 450mm x 80mm. Erect axillary infructescence to 6m long. Infructescecne to 1.5m long. Light green beaked fruit with brown margins to 15mm diameter.
