Flowering Times

Fruiting Times

Climbing massive solitary rattan reaching 100m+. Leaf sheaths armed with many spines to 30mm long. Leaves to 4m long with 4m long cirrus, unarmed leaflets, 45 per side, to 700mm x 75mm. Female spadix to 4m, female flowers to 6mm long. Male spadix to 1.75m covered in brown scurf ending in 500mm long prickly appendix, male flowers to 5mm long. Fruit to 35mm x 22mm with straw-coloured scales & short beak.
