Climbing palm to 7m. Leaf sheaths densely armed with spines to 5mm. Leaf to 760mm long with cirrus to 180mm long, about 10 leaflets per side, longest to 160mm x 15mm. Mature infructescence to 22mm long with rachillae to 10mm, fruit 7mm diameter with beak 0.8mm x 0.8mm.
