Climber. Leaves to 1.05m long, leaf sheath armed with spines 20mm long, leaflets to 300mm long. Male inflorescence with rachillae to 20mm long, male flowers 4.5mm x 1.5mm. Female inflorescence similar, female rachillae to 20mm long. Fruit 15m diameter.
