Fruiting Times
Climbing or creeping spiny clustering rattan, palm to 25m. Leaf sheaths armed with spines to 30mm long. Leaves to 3m long, leaflets to 500mm x 100mm with spiny margins, spines to 30mm long. Spadix male & female to 800mm with spiny spathes, male inflorescence to 2 metres with rachillae to 40mm long, flowers 5mm long. Female inflorescence to 1m long with rachillae 60mm long, female flower 5mm long. Dull brown to black fruit 18mm x 12mm.
