Climbing palm to 3m. Leaf sheaths with spines to 4mm. Leaves to 750mm long with 9-13 leaflets per side, longest to 250mm x 15mm. Inflorescences to 2m. Male rachillae to 30mm. Female rachillae to 50mm. Mature fruit 7mm diameter with a beak.
