Climbing & creeping spiny rattan to 20m+. Sheath armed with spines. Leaves to 3m+ long armed with spines to 25mm long, leaflets to 500mm x 30mm with bristly margins. Inflorecence covered with armed sheath. Rachillae to 70mm long. Brown fruit to 17mm x 15mm in 18 vertical rows.
