Slender clustering rattan to 20m. Stem sheaths to 20mm diameter, leaves to 750mm long with spines, 5-7 pairs of leaflets, basal leaflets to 340mm x 70mm, mid-leaflets to 410mm x 80mm, apical leaflets to 380mm x 65mm, cirrus to 1.1m long. Staminate inflorescence to 1.6m with bracts to 0.5mm x 0.6mm & bracteoles to 0.6mm x 1mm, staminate flowers to 3mm x 1mm, calyx 2.5mm x 1mm with triangular lobes to 0.5mm x 0.5mm & petals to 2mm x 0.7mm. Pistillate inflorescence to 1.7m long with bracts 2mm x 2mm & bracteoles 1.5mm diameter. Fruit 20mm x 14mm with beak 1mm x 1.5mm.
