Climbing palm. Leaf sheaths armed with spines to 5mm long, leaf cirrus to 800mm long. Leaflets to 300mm x 32mm. Female spadix with rachillae to 30mm long with 4-5 flowers. Beaked fruit to 25mm x 18mm.
