Fruiting Times
Slender sometimes climbing clustering rattan palm to 10m+ with tufted stems. Stem sheaths unarmed or armed with claws to 1mm long or spines to 60mm, flagellum to 1m. Leaves to 600mm long armed with black-tipped claws & setose along margins, unarmed & tomentose beneath, 4-10 pairs of leaflets to 250mm x 60mm. Inflorescences similar. Mucronate beaked fruit to 12mm x 8mm with light brown scales.
Used for furniture, handcrafts, binding, fish traps, baskets, edible shoots
