Erect then climbing spiny rattan palm to 1.5m. Spiny leaves with segments 4070mm x 17mm. Yellow flowers, hooked tips, Female inflorescence to 3m, spikelets 50mm, male spadix to 2m with spathes to 250mm, spikelets 40mm, brown male flower 3.5mm long, 3-lobed calyx, corolla 2.5mm long.Fruit cone-like, yellow-green to blackish fruit to 12mm diameter
