Fruiting Times
Clustering rattan palm with scandent stems to 20m. Stem sheaths to 30mm diameter, leaf sheaths armed with spines to 50mm long. Leaves to 3.5m+ long, cirrus to 1.75m, bristly leaflets to 500mm x 45mm. Female & male spadix to 500mm long with bracts armed with black spines to 40mm long, female flowers 6mm long, male spadix like female but with deciduous scurf. 25mm diameter x 16mm straw-coloures mucronate beaked fruit.
