Spiny climbing clustering rattan palm to 26m. Leaf sheaths with spines. Leaves to 600mm long with 6-29 pairs of leaflets to 255mm x 30mm, flagellum with recurved prickles. Male inflorescence to 1100mm, with rachillae to 23mm long, female to 800mm with rachillae to 55mm long. range or red-brown fruit 30mm x 17.5mm.
Edible fruit & shoot. High-quality cane.
