Climbing palm to 8m+. Sheaths with spines to 7mm, flagellum to 1m long, leaf to 700mm long with 6-20 leaflets per side, leaflets to 200mm x 25mm covered in spine-like papillae or short bristles. Inflorescence to 1m long. Beaked fruit to 60mm x 12mm, beak to 1mm x 1mm.
