Climber with stems to 10m long. Leaf sheaths with spines to 10mm long, leaves to 300mm long with cirrus to 450mm long, 9-11 leaflets per side to 200mm x 12mm. Staminate inflorescence to 190mm long with bracts to 35mm long & rachillae to 15mm long with bracts to 1.5mm, flowers 3mm long with calyx 2.5mm long & corolla 3mm long.
