Climber to 4m. Leaves 2.8m long with spines to 45mm x 5mm, 28-36 leaflets per side, longest to 600mm x 37mm, armed on margins. Pistillate inflorescence to 650mm long armed with spines to 15mm long, rachillae to 50mm x 3mm, flowers to 9mm x 4mm. Beaked fruit to 24mm diameter.
