Climbing palm to 8m. Leaves to 290mm long, unarmed or with spines to 3mm long, 3-5 leaflets per side, longest to 215mm x 8mm, flagellum to 360mm long. Staminate inflorescence to 175mm long with bracts to 60mm x 4mm, rachillae to 15mm x 1mm with bracts to 1mm x 1mm, flowers to 4mm x 2mm. Pistillate inflorescence to 105mm long with rachillae to 20mm x 2mm, female flowers to 4mm x 2mm. Beaked fruit to 9.5mm x 9mm.
