Climber to 40m. Sheath with brown-tipped spines to 0.5mm long. Leaf to 970mm long, cirrus to 2.2m long armed with grapnel spines. 8-11 leaflets per side, largest to 370mm x 50mm. Staminate inflorescence to 550mm long with bracts to 180mm x 17mm, rachillae to 10mm x 0.5mm, rachillae bracts to 1.5mm, flowers to 2mm x 1.2mm. Pistillate inflorescence similar to 370mm long, rachillae to 27mm x 2mm. Beaked fruit to 16mm x 11mm.
