Flowering Times
Fruiting Times
Climbing rattan palm with scandent stems to 20m with sheaths 35mm across. Leaf sheaths armed with spines to 25mm long, leaves to 4.5m with pinnae terminating in a prickly tendril, 1m long cirrus, unarmed leaflets, 20 per side, to 400mm x 50mm. Inflorescence to 500mm with armed bracts with spines to 5mm. Female spadix to 150mm long, female flowers 6mm long, male spadix to 450mm long, male flowers to 4mm long. Mucronulate fruit to 25mm x 20mm, slightly armed or unarmed with red-brown scales.
