Climber to 10m. Leaves to 900mm long densely armed with hair-like reddish-brown spines to 35mm long, 48-53 leaflets per side, laflets to 180mm x 11mm, armed with 3mm bristles. Inflorescence to 3.2m long with bracts to 15mm x 1mm, rachillae to 55mm x 1mm with bracts to 3mm & bracteoles to 2.3mm x 3mm, Staminate flowers with calyx 1.5mm diameter with 3 lobes to 0.6mm x 1.2mm. corolla to 2.5mm x 1.3mm.
