Climbing palm to 3m. Armed leaf sheaths with spines. 80-90 leaflets per side to 370mm x 20mm. Inflorescence to 300mm long with bracts to 37.5mm, rachillae to 40mm long. Brown fruit to 10mm x 6mm.

Handicrafts. Ripe fruit edible.
