Climbing palm to 10m. Sheaths armed with black spines to 12mm, cirrate leaf to 1m with cirrus to 450mm long, 10-12 leaflets per side, longest leaflet to 200mm x 17mm. Inflorescence to 300mm long, female rachillae to 35mm long. Beaked fruit to 10mm x 7mm.
