Climbing palm. Leaves to 2m long, leaf sheaths with spines to 5mm long, cirrus to 330mm long, paripinnate or rarely imparipinnate, leaflets to 250mm x 22mm. Spadix to 300mm long, flowers to 3.5mm x 1.5mm. Fruit to 14mm x 12mm.
