Scandent hemi-epiphytic herb or subshrub to 3m, glabrous stems. Glabrous mucronate leaves to 110mm x 42mm, purple beneath. Solitary axillary light green flowers suffused maroon, calyx lobes to 3.3mm x 1,7mm, corolla tube to 7.1mm, dorsal lobes to 13mm x 3.5mm, ventral lobes to 7.6mm x 2.3mm, strong muskt odour. Inflated maroon & dark green fruit to 15mm x 17mm, crowned with persistent calyx lobes.
