Scrambling hemi-epiphytic herb, shrub or liana with glabrous denticulate leaves or scaberulous on veins beneath 120mm x 60mm. Axillary solitary red-violet flowers green at base or terminal racemes to 250mm long, flowers 85mm x 1.5mm with bracts to 50mm long, glabrous green or dark red calyx to 9mm x 6mm, sepals to 15mm long, green & red or dark purple glabrous corolla, tube to 16mm long opening to 2.5mm diameter, 2 major lobes 22mm x 5mm, 2 minor lobes 12mm x 4mm, pubescent filament tube to 32mm long. Glabrous inflated berry blue-purple or pinkish white to 30mm x 14mm
