Evergreen scrambling shrub or small straggling tree to 10m, branchlets covered in brownish hairs. Leaves to 100mm x 75mm, dentate to crenate, glabrescent above, pubescent or tomentose beneath. Terminal many-flowered lax panicles to 200mm x 200mm, white or pale mauve sweet-scented flowers, sometimes with maroon throat, sepals to 2mm x 1mm, corolla tube to 5mm long, lobes to 2.4mm x 2.2mm. Fruit a tomentose capsule to 3.4mm x 2.3mm.
