Fulvous villous twining climber or trailing perennial woody vine, ridged pubescent stems beoming glabrous. Glabrescent mucronate leaves to 85mm x 30mm. Few-flowered terminal cymes with small bracts, with violet-blue flowers. Pubescent coriaceous sepals 8mm long, pilose blue corolla to 25mm long. Glabrous brown capsule to 7mm diameter with orange seeds
