Woody perennial shrubby twiner to 5m with white-woolly hairy stems. Coriaceous mucronate leaves to 85mm x 48mm pubescent above, brown-hairy beneath. Axillary hirsute cymes with tomentose bracts 12mm x 8mm, pale blue-purple flowers, coriaceous hirsute or glabrous sepals 6mm long, bright blue corolla to 20mm long, pilose outside, glabrous within. 4-valved capsule to 3mm long, hairy outside.
