Tuberous twiner. Leaves to 150mm x 50m, opubescent to glabrous above, glabrous beneath 4-10 flowered thyrses, flowers with bracts to 50mm x 10mm, flowers to 40mm long, outer tepaks yellow-orange to red with green tip, inner tepals yellow-orange without spots. Turbinate fruit.
