Scandent twining rhizomatous deciduous climber with glabrous or tomentose stems. Leaves to 120mm x 8mm, glabrous above & pilose beneath. Umbels with bractlets, red or yellowish green-tipped sepals, 50mm pale yellow flowers suffused light red & tipped green. Pubescent white capsule to 20mm.
