Rhizomatous climbing vine with leaves to 50mm x 20mm, glabrous above & hairy beneath, deciduous bracts. Umbels of red-orange flowers with green tips, red sepals to 20mm long, reddish-purple blotched petals within to 20mm long. Pubescent purple-red ridged fruit to 10mm long.
