Erect or rhizomatous scandent herb with glabrous stems. Glabrous leaves to 50mm x 22mm. Few-flowered 1-2 flowered axillary inflorescence with bracts. Sepals to 12mm x 8mm, black tipped red calyx, salmon pink petals to 18mm long, blue-grey wings and apex. Yellow fruit.
