Tendril liana with striate branches becoming lenticellate. Leaves to 90mm x 45mm, simple tendrils. Panicles with bracts, lilac to pink flowers, deep purple at base, white throat with lines, coriaceous calyx to 9mm long with 1mm teeth, lilac corolla to 60mm long with 18mm lobes. Bristly fruits 130mm long, 30mm across.
