Woody tendril vine or climbing shrub with simple tendrils. Glabrous leaflets to 100mm x 40mm. Terminal or axillary racemes to 200mm long, 90mm long scarlet flowers, copper-coloured inside, glabrous corolla to 90mm long with tube to 20mm long & lobes to 17mm long. Fruit a capsule 160mm x 12mm maturing brown.
