Glabrous high-climbing twining shrub to 3.3m with glabrous lenticellate striated branches, simple tendrils. Glabrous coriaceous or sparsely hairy 2-foliolate leaves, leaflets to 150mm x 75mm. Terminal or axillary panicles, corymbs or racemes to 200mm long with bracts, of fragrant funnel-shaped 10mm flowers, white to lilac-pink with magenta veins in yellow throat to 76mm long, coriaceous villous or glabrous calyx 9mm x 7mm, pilose pink or white corolla with yellow throat to 90mm with 60mm hairy lobes. Green glabrous flattened capsule 430mm x 30mm. Crushed leaves smell of garlic
