Stinging high-climbing momoecious twining vine, stems & leaves covered in urticating hairs. Leaves to 155mm x 85mm with dentate margin. Green flowers in terminal racemes to 70mm long elongating to 170mm in fruit, staminate bracts to 2mm long, pistillate bracts to 4mm long, staminate flowers with 3-4 sepals to 2.5mm long with 6-7 segments to 1mm long, pistillate sepals with 6 sepals to 3.5mm long. 3-lobed green fruit capsule to 10mm x 5mm densely covered in urticating hairs.
