Sometimes climbing subshrub to 4m with tetragonal stems, young stems strigillose. Leaves to 150mm x 100mm, glabrous above & puberulous beneath. Inflorescence with bracteoles, light green calyx to 15mm long, yellow-orange to red corolla to 25mm long. Pale orange berry with persistent calyx.
