Scandent or climbing shrub to 5m with glabrous branches. Leaves to 60mm x 35mm, glabrous above & puberulent beneath. Lateral panicles or fascicles of yellow or greenish flowers. Fruit a purple-red or black drupe to 9mm long x 3mm with oersistent remains of calyx tube & disc.

Medicinal uses. Stem used to make furniture
