Thorny or glabrous hairy sometime scandent shrub or tree, stems with spines. Leaves 130mm x 40mm. Axillary or terminal cymes with coriaceous bracts of white or yellow flowers, tube 7mm long, lobes 8mm long. Black berry 8mm diameter.
